I am an active problem solver, learner and teacher. My education started with Physics (undergrad) and Astronomy (PhD). I've self-taught myself about using computers to solve problems. Most of my work experience with programming came during a 7+ year period working as a develop at Red Hat Software. I worked mostly with C and Python. I also had extensive experience working on open source software and am a strong supporter of the concept. Since this time I have been working on personal projects with Python involving astronomy and controlling my astrophotography equipment. I have considerable experience with numpy/scipy as well as some exposure to using web frameworks like Flask and Django.
