The Role
Outrider's Cloud Applications team is looking for a Software Engineer Intern who wants to do exceptional work designing and building performant, serverless cloud applications. You'll be working in a team of backend, frontend, and embedded engineers building a scalable, reliable and secure SaaS platform for tasking, observing and troubleshooting autonomous vehicle fleets. This job represents a unique opportunity at the intersection of sustainable transportation and cutting-edge cloud technology.

Duties & Key Objectives
- Assist with designing and building state-of-the-art, novel architectures, systems, and methodologies powering Outrider’s SaaS platform.
- Feature development from product backlogs. Defect resolution and support.
- Work with diverse, cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers in a fast, collaborative process.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience with React
- Exposure to Git
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a team-based environment on complex/open-ended problems
- Strong analytical and curious mindset
Ideal Qualifications
- Backend experience with Node
- Experience with relational database design
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building GraphQL, REST, or gRPC APIs
- Unit and integration testing experience and leans into TDD
