The Software Engineer Intern will work with a team of other software developers and architects to design, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily and supports deployment in highly available environments. The engineer will participate in design of various software components focused on creating applications that leverage a variety of technologies. Works on technical assignments that are routine in nature. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision and is required to learn new technologies quickly. Willingness To Learn: Passionate about software development with a true desire to learn and grow as a software engineer. Ability to continuously learn new technologies and collaborate with team to deliver on sprint commitments. Ability to offer and communicate ideas and opinions. Technical System Expertise: Understand how systems operate and the benefits of current technology. Knowledge of object oriented programming, unstructured data manipulation, and network virtualization solutions. Experience with technologies including JavaScript, Java, AWS Serverless (DynamoDB/S3/Lambdas), Cucumber/Gherkin, Node.js, Gitlab and JSON schemas a plus.

Technical Writing: Maintains knowledge of existing technology documents. Maintains clear documentation for new code and systems used. Documenting systems designs and business requirements. Innovation: Understands and shares new ideas which improve an existing system/process/service. System analysis and innovation for continuous system improvement. Technology Strategy: Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices.

Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred

Less than 2 years experience with technical engineering experience

Technical Writing

Cybersecurity is preferred

This role is not eligible for relocation. Intern must have reliable transportation to work in office
