What You'll Do

  • Senior Storage Engineer is to design, implement, manage and maintain storage and backup solutions for Clients.
  • The candidate will be providing Level 3 support to Storage and Backup environment.
  • You will provide administration and engineering support on multiple OS platforms in a multi-vendor environment while working closely with architecture, application development, database, server, and networking teams.
  • Design and support data networks for clients' data centers, corporate facilities, retail stores, distribution centers, call centers, and eCommerce environments.
  • Design, develop, implement, and support network solutions for IT projects.
  • Sphere of influence is across IT Teams
  • Teachers and mentors across engineering and systems administration teams
  • Publishes knowledge to the engineering team
  • Builds special interest communities and performs mentoring to teams
  • Self-directing and providing direction for others on the team
  • Influences technical direction of the team

What You Know

  • NetApp, IBM, ISILON , Brocade switches (Need to support all operating systems for storage and back up)
  • Must Lead or participates in establishing standards and roadmaps for domain
  • Must Understand business and complex systems requirements, translating relating into solution designs
  • Should Leads or participates in vendor product and service selection
  • Experience in creating system capacity plans within their domain
  • Experience in Leading, or participating, in complex installation and configuration activities
  • Hands-on experience in editing or reviewing procedural and system documentation
  • Should have experience in Performs systems resource optimization activities for complex, multi-domain environments
  • Able to Oversees or lead major updates supporting new requirements and maintaining systems currency
  • Must Establish resource management and monitoring standards, methods, tools, and thresholds
  • Should Works on multiple major projects of the highest complexity requiring current or emerging solutions
  • Establishes system access and resource management, systems management, and Security Compliance activities
  • Participates in systems management, and security compliance activities

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
