About The Role
Fasten your helmet and climb aboard if you’re ready to be our Android Engineer. In this role, you will be an integral player in the Merchant Platform team based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Focusing heavily on designing and implementing products for a massive network of small, medium and large businesses, you will employ coding and programming, deploy android applications in efforts to ensure seamless experience for our Merchants across the region. The folks in the GoFood and GoPay team will be your companions on this ride. Your efforts will directly influence the growth of business of millions of Indonesian and Southeast Asia Merchants.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, ship, and maintain medium or high complexity features with guidance from more experienced engineer
Translate objectives into step by step, evaluate and then refactor into a scalable and extensible design
Design and develop secure, clean, clear, scalable, and well-documented code base with minimal guidance
Has an in-depth understanding of at least one programming language and framework
Leads effort to works with other squads in their pod & other PDG counterparts to solve problems affecting delivery of their squad
Research new technologies and tools, speaking and participating in tech conferences to carry the Gojek brand throughout the community
What You'll Need
At least 5 years of experience in Android development, solid understanding of the full android development life cycle
Excellent command in Modern Java or Kotlin
Understanding of Design Patterns and familiarity with common patterns used in mobile application development such as MVI, MVVM, MVP
Experience with writing Unit Tests and Instrumented Tests
Able to scope and review user stories and making them into an actionable item
Have supportive and high collaborative attitude
CI/CD and build automation experience is a PLUS

The GoBiz Merchant Platform organization is a family of around 230+ people based across Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and India. The organization has many exciting well-rounded roles in strategy, technology, product management, business operations, sales, program management, and merchant care.
The team builds products and services that enable merchants to manage their business. For example, the Gobiz services help manage food delivery orders, accept payments, manage offline orders through a POS, etc. The gist of our role is to create an ecosystem of solutions to support millions of our merchants in the GoTo ecosystem to manage better and grow their businesses while enabling both internal and external product stakeholders to develop merchant-based solutions sustainably.
We are also the team inside of GoTo company who carry the responsibility to be the voice of Merchants to internal GoTo teams and drive continuous improvement related to product, process, and organization so we can collectively deliver high-quality products and services to our merchants.
