  • Thrasio is a next-generation consumer goods company reimagining how the world's most-loved products become accessible to everyone. We use a deep understanding of rankings, ratings, and reviews to identify and acquire quality brands and use world-class expertise and data science to make their products better or create new ones to meet changing customer demand.

We've got huge goals, and every Thrasher plays an integral part in getting us to the stratosphere. That's why we only bring on people who think positively. Who look out for the team. Who tell their egos to take a hike while they get the job done right.

From the moment you hop on our rocketship, we give you the freedom you need to take big swings and push what's possible to get us there. And if you fail, it's cool-we know you'll grow spectacularly. What matters is that you're helping impact millions of people around the world who use our products everyday.

Because with every new spatula, pillow, or marker brand we acquire, with every coffee roaster or body wash we develop, our goal is to provide people everywhere with what they need to make the most of every moment - ensuring that what gets delivered to their door delivers.

We are looking for interns to join our engineering team for a 10-week internship in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2022. You may choose to join us in one of our offices in New York City, Walpole, MA, Salt Lake City, Houston, or remote.

As a Software Engineer Intern at Thrasio, you'll work on meaningful products in an exciting startup environment. You will work with a broad set of technologies, gain experience in systems design and testing, and have opportunities to share your work with stakeholders across the company. Each intern is paired with a dedicated mentor, and every project you work on is part of the Technology Org's roadmap, directly supporting Thrasio's mission and helping us scale up. You'll be part of an exceptional team that insists on doing their best work. You'll learn from people with high standards who constantly inspire each other to do more and go further. We value technical and personal growth and see our internship program as a vehicle to foster both.
    In your internship you will:
      • Write software that will be used in production and has a meaningful impact on Thrasio's business
      • Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews or design discussions
      • Collaborate with other engineers (and people from the different departments) to proactively seek and incorporate feedback
      • Learn quickly by asking great questions, finding how to work with your mentor and teammates effectively, and communicating the status of your work clearly

What you bring to the party:
      • Has completed courses focused on Data Structures and Algorithms
      • Experience programming in Python or an equivalent language
      • Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres) and designing data models
      • Knowledge of python frameworks, such as Django, Flask, etc
      • A love of automation
      • Experience working in a high growth startup environment
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related STEM fields and planning on graduating in 2023
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folx tend only to apply if they meet 100% of the qualifications.

At Thrasio, we need people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions, so we're looking for diverse perspectives, as long as you meet the minimum criteria. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Join us!
