Salary: $75,000 - $93,000 annually, depending on professional experience.

Position Classification and schedule: Exempt, full-time, and requires working at the San Diego, CA office or Lab up to 3x per week. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule.

Target start date: May 2023

Position Summary:

In our autonomous and collaborative environment, Moebius Software Engineers are involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle - planning, development, testing, installation, and supporting live systems. As a Jr. Software Engineer, you routinely use Java, JavaScript, Postgres, HTML, Ansible, and more. The ideal candidate is in San Diego, CA, with an active security clearance and at least one to three or more years of professional experience.

Duties:

• Ability to navigate a code base to find a class with little guidance.

• Understanding of basic git commands.

• Use Agile-based development techniques.

• Ability to perform “peer reviews.”

• Ability to design/update features based on client feedback.

• Develop capabilities and design code with “end user” needs in mind.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for a “Secret” level clearance Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Development, Engineering, Information Technology, etc., or similar technical-based disciplines.

• 1 – 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, development, deployment, or sustainment experience with software-intensive systems and technologies.

• 1 – 3+ years of professional experience developing software using JAVA, JavaScript, Postgres, HTML, ansible, equivalent technologies, and Agile-based development techniques.

• Although there is some flexibility, generally, employees work 40 hours per week during the core hours, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. PST.

• Must be able to work at the San Diego office and Lab as needed.

• Must complete Moebius designed technical assessment and participate in two technical interviews.
