Job Overview:

Work in the Engineering group, monitoring the slack channels and emails for the alerts on the Production Systems

Skill-Sets Needed:

• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications

• Proactive approach to spotting problems

• Knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux) and networking fundamentals and server hardware

• Good to know any one scripting language such as Shell scripting (or) Python

• Working on-call shift to prevent incidents from ever happening

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor on a daily basis all the production system alerts on slack channels and emails and make a daily report.

• Communicate and collaborate with engineering team to respond to alerts

• Document responses and actions to alerts as a runbook
