JUNIOR COMPUTER SOFTWARE ENGINEER

NDI is seeking qualified Computer Software Engineers with 1-2 years of software development experience in the software development of engineering or industrial machinery control systems using either C++, Java, and/or MATLAB, and experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop, compile, and debug source code in C++/CLI, Managed C++, or C# using .NET framework and/or Linux OS.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of CMMI-DEV and IEEE Software standards for requirements, design, development, test, and system integration; development and execution of test plans and reports (unit through integration testing), tracking of software problem reports, and knowledge of version control methodologies.

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with basic operating system concepts such as memory management, storage management, usability, interoperability, and processor scheduling, and have some experience in the development and maintenance of SIM/STIM software for integration testing of complex distributed control systems. Experience in the planning, creation, and development of Ship Change Documents (SCD) packages, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) packages, and hardware shipboard installation technical data packages (TDPs) a plus.

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Candidates must be a US Citizen and must possess a Department of Defense Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance; candidates with existing active clearances preferred. Location: Philadelphia, PA.
