You are a curious and enthusiastic university student working toward your degree. You have a passion for technology and a proactive, positive demeanor. In addition to your written and verbal communication abilities, you have a strong drive to learn and develop. You also possess a good understanding of the software development life cycle process, computer science fundamentals, operating systems, computer networking, and are proficient in one or more object-oriented programming languages (C, C++, Java)

Position Overview 

This role provides an opportunity to participate in the software engineering process of a major, worldwide software company defining the future of work with open and closed-source projects at its core. Agile teams at Citrix are powering digital transformation for business to thrive in the cloud era, embracing mobile users, personal devices, wireless access, app stores, SaaS, and cloud infrastructure. You will work hands on to develop software that is changing how the world works in a collaborative team structure.

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop and test software systems and/or applications for software enhancements and new products.

  • Apps: Use Agile development methodology to develop user-level applications on a variety of platforms including desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac) and/or mobile operating systems (iOS, Android).

  • Work at any level of the application stack for different users of the product (IT vs corporate user)

  • Systems software: Use virtualization technologies and techniques to develop operating systems, device drivers, utilities, and software; development tools (e.g., assemblers, compilers, etc.) for different operating system architectures (Windows, Linux, Mac OS), driver development, experience with inserting (""hooking"") custom code into normal operating path in order to modify operation of platform.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Less than 2 years related work experience.

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle process.

  • Comprehension of operating systems and computer networking.

  • Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (e.g., algorithms, data structures).

  • Proficient in one or more object-oriented programming languages (C, C++, Java).

  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell, PERL, Java Script, PowerShell).

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

In the state of Colorado, the salary for this role generally ranges from $82,560 -$103,200 but may vary depending on your qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of this range. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, sales incentives, and/or stock depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Citrix and the country where you work.
