Clojure Developer - Remote

  • This is a contract remote role expected at 40hrs/week

ThorTech Solutions is a software development and IT consultancy that specializes in coming up with creative solutions in the cloud, specifically AWS. We utilize new technology and techniques to enable our clients to do things today that they couldn’t do yesterday.

About the Client:

  • The client is a SaaS firm that provides cloud data integration and validation solutions for industries such as telecommunication, retail, and healthcare.


About the Role:

As a Clojure Developer, you’ll be responsible for software design, implementation, testing, and operation. You’ll collaborate with other software engineers, quality assurance engineers, product managers, and product designers to participate in the full software development lifecycle – from product requirements to software design to testing and release.

The team uses Clojure, Java, Python, ES6, and React. They run on AWS. Experience with these technologies is not required but is considered a plus.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience with Clojure
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java and/or Python
  • Familiarity with basic data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of web applications, databases, Linux, and cloud environments
  • A track record of delivering substantial software projects in cloud or SaaS products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly Desirable:

  • AWS Experience
  • Experience with other functional programming languages (Scala, Haskell, LISP, etc.)
  • Experience with React

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Internship

Pay: $27,345.00 - $92,868.00 per year
