We're looking for an enthusiastic, up-and-coming Engineer to join our team this summer.

About the role:

As an iOS intern at Tinder, you will partner directly with senior members of the mobile team and be empowered to contribute solutions to the Tinder codebase. We are deeply invested in challenging norms, constantly improving architecture design, exploring emergent tech and ideas, and leveraging new technologies in interesting ways to deliver an app that is widely known the world over.

What you'll do:
  • Collaborate on the development, implementation and functionality of Tinder's newest features and platform architecture
  • Build robust, lasting, and scalable products that serve millions of users
  • Work on systems that handle billions of data events a day
  • Leverage large scale multi-channel communications to keep users well-informed (push notifications, emails, in-app messaging, and more)
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Participate in the annual Tindership Hackathon, presenting with your team to the entire Tinder team and panel of executives.

  • What we're looking for:
  • Aspiring iOS developer who’s excited to work on large scale challenges with cutting-edge technology
  • Proficiency in coding with Swift
  • Foundational knowledge of basic Computer Science principles: data structures and algorithms.
  • Currently pursuing a BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field (Graduation date of December 2022 onward)

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Internship or work experience on a native mobile application
  • Completed mobile project experience (i.e. hack-a-thons, personal projects, GitHub, Open Source, volunteer coding experience etc.)
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as MVC, MVVM, Viper etc
  • Aware of native app development tools/concepts like xcode, core data, core animation, dependency injection, combine, swift UI, UI kit etc. is not required but a bonus
