Job Description
The BI Engineer will be responsible for building client-facing and internal dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with insights. Candidates will have proven experience driving high-value outcomes through meaningful data presentations and visualizations.
Responsibilities


  • Builds and maintains real-time dashboard and reporting solutions that provide visibility into key metrics for CodaMetrix and customers
  • Works closely with stakeholders to understand business data visualization requirements and priorities
  • Creates visualizations and reports that are dynamic, intuitive, effective and easily interpretable for a range of internal and external user types
  • Enhances existing dashboards and report visualizations for CodaMetrix using the integrated DUNDAS BI solution
  • Provides accurate and relevant data to standard and ad hoc data requests to incorporate into new and existing product dashboards and reports
  • Leverages technical skills to support development of the CodaMetrix data lake, warehouse and business intelligence solutions
  • Gains a deep understanding of various structured data in a healthcare setting and organize for visualization and consumption
  • Participates in team Agile-based ceremonial activities, including stand-ups, stakeholder demos, and reviews of other engineers designs and code
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the data analytics environment in different operating system environments
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience with Tableau, Dundas or similar tools for performing scalable queries and building dynamic dashboards and reporting
  • Expertise in SQL, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following Python, Java, JavaScript, Scala
  • Prior experience working with both structured and unstructured data
  • Strong experience in the use of data warehousing tools
  • Working knowledge of distributed processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both management and peers
Beneficial Experience
  • Experience working with healthcare-related data
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Jupyter (for visualizing datasets within Notebooks)
  • Experience in generating dashboards for web application consumption using JavaScript visualization libraries such as D3.js
  • Statistical background and/or exposure to ML techniques and programming
Salary
$100,000-$120,000
