What we're looking for:

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • BS, MS or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field is required
  • Excellent C, C++ or Objective-C programming skills
  • Experience or good knowledge in Python and Go programming
  • Experience or good knowledge in Cloud development (Primarily in Azure)
  • Strong debugging skills and hands on experience in debugging using gdb
  • Solid background in Algorithms and Data Structures required
  • Strong exposure to Network Programming, with competencies in VPNs, AAA, and Security and Cloud networking technologies
  • Strong in OS concepts, internals and systems programming
  • Ability to build products for the best performance, scalability and future expansion in Enterprise and Cloud environments

Experience

  • Hands on experience of at least 6-8 years in relevant software development lifecycle

  • Experience in having designed, developed and shipped a product from scratch.
  • Experience in working with Product Marketing and Customer to distill requirements and arrive at design/implementation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Analyzes requirements and writes software requirement and design specifications for the organization’s complex projects.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach to solve problems central to an assigned research or programming project.
  • Acts as engineering tools expert and can propose new ones.
  • Prepares and gives formal presentations/reviews in areas of specialization to management and customers.
  • Coordinates the technical design activity with others in department to ensure consistent and integrated approaches across projects.
  • Provides input to and generates documentation for new or existing projects as well as reusable code.
  • Works on issues that impact design success of address future concepts, products and technologies.
  • Identifies technical opportunities and recommends programs to management in such areas as product development, reliability, and performance improvements.
  • Leads continuous quality improvement in meeting internal and external customer requirements.
  • Partners with management and engineers in early stages of multiple project definitions and roadmap.
  • Overall technical expert that trains and mentors others.
  • Innovates, and coaches others to design and implement forward looking solutions.
  • Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
