Systems Engineer

MTI Film is a prominent Hollywood Post Production Facility looking to hire a full time, overnight Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in varied computing environments pertaining to television, restoration, and post production, including Avid remote editorial.

Responsibilities:

• Phone support for overnight Avid customers
• Help desk for dailies and nighttime production operations
• Routine hardware and software updates
• Facility upkeep and maintenance tasks

Skills:

• A working knowledge of computing operating systems and networking
• Strong understanding of data I/O processes and applications
• Capability to troubleshoot software applications and computer hardware
• Excellent communication skills, to interface with end users and operation managers
• Familiarity with computing, networking, storage, and video I/O hardware and software applications
• Specific familiarity with applications such as Flame, Nucoda, Avid, Resolve, Cortex, Nova, Adobe Suite, is desirable
• Scripting / Programming skill is a plus
• Ability to multitask, as well as evaluate and prioritize requests
• Capability to learn new concepts and systems

Experience:

• 3+ years working in a post production facility
• SDI video routing and troubleshooting experience is desirable
• DolbyVision/ HDR 10 knowledge a plus
• Experience with Stornext SAN and Brocade Fibre Channel hardware is a plus
