This Data Solutions Intern will be working with our Program Integrity and Performance Insights team in supporting Anthem Program Integrity by collaborating with multiple teams to ensure proper documentation of processes, clarify request tools and communication structure, and develop a base understanding of the data infrastructure while participating in data support 


 Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include supporting the Performance Insights team to:

* Run SAS or Python and SQL reports

* Add enhancements to improve the value of the data we provide

* Provide adhoc analysis or query consultation to our internal customers

* Document workflows and information provided

* Assist in the development of centralized documentation storage, and value communication strategy

* Perform other functions as requested Examples of projects for this role:

* Update team Sharepoint for current process flows and metadata

* Explore opportunities for enhancement in existing processes

* Write simple SQL queries to profile data from the data warehouse or data labs

* Modify advanced queries to add columns to data/reports 



 Qualifications:
* Pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or other related degrees
* MS Office experience required
* Interest to specialize and further develop a career in Analytics is preferred
* Some coursework or experience in SAS/Python/R or other related languages preferred
* Some coursework or experience in SQL preferred
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
* Students must be authorized to work in the U.S.
