We are looking for a Data Architect who actively looks to find the creative solution to a problem. To be successful in this role, you should be passionate about building data warehouses from scratch and consider yourself an authority on how they should be built.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As a Data Architect, you will be part of a team responsible for Data Architecture for a highly scalable event driven platform that leverages next generation technology stack.

• You will develop and review data models, data access patterns, and solution patterns for implementing the Data Layer for a highly scalable event driven platform.

• You will conduct and participate in Architecture and Data Model reviews to simplify the current state Data Models and adapt them to Target State.

• You will create architecture documentation that is clear, concise, and well structured so it can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Make use of the standard architecture tools (IBM System Architect, Power Designer, and/or Pro Vision, Erwin, ER Studio, SQL Database Designer) or others as appropriate.

• In addition, you may also have opportunities to write code and assist in the overall delivery of the platform.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years working in the field of Application Development, Data Management or Solution Architecture.

• 3-4 years of experience working with tools like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, SQL, UNIX, Spark Streaming, and Kafka Streams.

• 2-3 years of experience managing teams of data architects and developers

• Experienced with data modeling and object oriented design patterns

• Experienced with Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, Tableau, Jasper, Talend

• Experienced with deploying applications on AWS

• Experienced with leveraging AWS Glue, AWS Redshift and AWS RDS and Aurora

• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Snowflake or Data Bricks

Good to have

• Project Management Skills

• Experience deploying solutions to Cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.

• Masters in Computer Science or Data Science

• Experience with transportation or supply chain

• Experience with data visualization in Python, R Shiny, or similar

• Experience in engineering features for predictive models in R or Python
