Oracle University Tech Recruiting

The Program

Our future success depends on hiring world-class, early in career talent who are looking to power next-generation services and solutions. We are hiring BS/MS/PhD students with a diverse set of skills and experiences to work in and across multiple teams within the Oracle Labs organization. Our program is intended to enhance your overall learning experience, help build your network, and accelerate your opportunity to make an impact.

The Team

Oracle Labs is the advanced research and development arm of Oracle. We focus on the development of technologies that keep Oracle at the forefront of the computer industry. Oracle Labs researchers look for novel approaches and methodologies, often taking on projects with high risk or uncertainty, or that are difficult to tackle within a product-development organization. Oracle Labs research is focused on real-world outcomes: our researchers aim to develop technologies that will someday play a significant role in the evolution of technology and society. For example, chip multithreading and the Java programming language grew out of work done in Oracle Labs.

The Company

Oracle is the world’s leading provider of business software. With a presence in over 175 countries, we are one of the biggest technology companies on the planet. We're using innovative emerging technologies to tackle real-world problems today. From advancing energy efficiency to reimagining online commerce, the work we do is not only transforming the world of business—it's helping advance governments, power nonprofits, and giving billions of people the tools they need to outpace change. What You’ll Do

The Oracle Labs Apps team oversees designing, building and operating apps that follow the principles of modern app development. Such apps need to adhere to high standards in terms of security, compliance, availability, and more.

One such app is Oracle Labs Data Studio which is a web-based notebook platform for data scientists operating in the enterprise space. Another example app is the Oracle Contributor Agreement (OCA) Signing Service which enables contributors to Oracle-sponsored open-source projects to electronically sign a contributor agreement.

There are many diverse topics offered by the Oracle Labs Apps team – depending on the app(s) you will be working on. Sample topics include Cloud Native service monitoring, compliance checks for Oracle’s open-source (GitHub) repositories, improving the OCA approval flow, visualizing very large graphs in Data Studio, and designing & building entirely new apps or features running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Please see the Oracle Labs internship website for more details and interesting app projects that you can apply for.
