COMPUTER SCIENCES INTERN

This position will assist the ETA team with a variety of projects involving wired and wireless networking, server and domain administration, cybersecurity, and helpdesk troubleshooting. Efforts will be made to correlate job duties and projects with areas of focus in applicant’s schooling.

  • Independently manage a quality or efficiency improvement project in Enterprise Technology
  • Support process mapping by conducting studies/experiments, observing current-state and making recommendations for potential process improvement
  • Develop and deploy standard operating procedures and supporting documentation
  • Support ETA projects to deliver against Bedford’s Key Goals
  • Learn and become proficient with the company and its software (MS Office, Netsuite, 42Q, Novatime)
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALITY CONTROL INTERN

This position will assist the Quality department with various continuous improvement projects.

  • Gather and organize data for various production lines and products
  • Assist in creating and editing production procedures
  • Inspect and record measurements for Research & Development projects
  • Perform calibration on tools used on the manufacturing floor
  • Assist with quality of our products
  • Other duties as assigned

SALES ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE INTERN

This position will assist the Sales Department at Bedford Industries by servicing existing accounts and fostering new business relationships. No day will be the same as you take on exciting challenges and identify solutions to meet domestic and international customer needs.

  • Create a positive experience for existing customer accounts and develop new business relationships
  • Help with new product opportunities and explore possibilities with our Product Development team
  • Provide exceptional customer service, while also assisting with product needs
  • Learn to generate product quotes, present options to customers, secure and process orders
  • Help to identify and analyze trends in sales and markets
  • Other duties as requested

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

This position will assist the Engineering team with research, planning, development, testing and design of manufacturing equipment.

  • Assist the Engineering team as assigned with research, planning, development, testing and design of manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist the Engineering team with development and testing of new products.
  • Learn and become efficient with the company and engineering software (Microsoft Office, Autodesk and Minitab)
  • Assist with product quality.
  • Assist in creation and editing of production procedures and machine manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

COMPUTER SCIENCES INTERN

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the Windows operating system
  • Able to look at a problem from multiple angles to determine the best solution
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and finding the root cause of a problem
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree candidate in the Computer Sciences field
  • Works in an office and production environment
  • Monday-Friday

QUALITY CONTROL INTERN

  • Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and use resources
  • Works in an office and production environment
  • Monday-Friday

SALES ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE INTERN

  • Bachelor’s degree candidate in Business field
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish not required; but is considered a plus
  • Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Works effectively across a variety of communication channels: in-person, phone, email, live-chat, video conference
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Works in an office and production environment
  • Is expected to travel with team members on client visits
  • Monday-Friday

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Bachelor’s degree candidate in Engineering field
  • Ability to work both independently and with Engineering team on projects
  • Ability to problem solve and use resources
  • Works in an office and production environment
  • Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
  • Monday-Friday
