Our stack is complex and we're looking for engineers who know how to write evolvable, properly instrumented, and efficient code as part of a growing distributed system. We're working on mobile-first web applications and need people who can build fast and intuitive experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user-facing applications at scale
• Play a key role in architectural decisions as we build toward an efficient distributed microservice architecture
• Deploy a range of cloud-based technologies for critical projects
• Write, test, instrument, and deploy code to our Kubernetes environment
• Help drive the innovation and evolution of ZipRecruiter

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Computer Science degree or relevant experience
• Ability to write high-performance, well-designed, well-crafted, readable, and tested code in a team environment
• Ability to build in multiple languages and the ability to pick up new languages quickly
• Experience in developing client side interactions using frameworks like React along with plain Javascript, CSS and HTML
• Solid understanding of both non-relational and relational database systems

ooking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our quickly growing engineering team. The Full Stack Engineer on our Ad Code Team will be responsible for the development and design of new features of our Ad Code product that is deployed on over 3,000 sites that reach over 170mm monthly unique users. This role will utilize your expertise to build high-performance JavaScript libraries that run in the browser. You will leverage your ability to interpret business requirements and deliver solutions that help our clients effectively monetize their traffic. You will actively participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and performance considerations throughout the feature development lifecycle.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the job

• 3-5+ years experience designing and implementing JavaScript-based libraries and frameworks (i.e. not just web interfaces)
• JavaScript frameworks and the latest ECMAScript standards for web application.
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), databases (MySQL) and comfort working the command line environment.
• Performance testing and unit testing
• Rock-solid debugging and data analysis skills
• Developing software using Agile/Scrum methodologies with 2-3 week sprint cycles
• Typescript is a plus.
• WordPress experience a plus
• Experience with ad serving technology, including DFP/GAM, header bidding, and/or Prebid.js a plus
