Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2023. The qualified candidate will be involved in engineering projects and will work in the Hardware Engineering team and interact with many other groups who together create our leading products. This position will be in our Camdenton, Missouri facility.

This intern position will work on a key machine development project we are undertaking to address the needs of our customers regarding increasing the utilization and OEE of their capital equipment investment. This is aligned with the manufacturing industry global initiative known as Industry 4.0.

The intern will work with the hardware engineering team on new development work utilizing SolidWorks development software, and some industry standard development and test tools in our engineering lab.

The goal is that the intern will work with a mentoring engineer to provide guidance and a broader team to get experience developing machine hardware alongside other engineers both locally in our Hopkinton facility as well as with other mechanical engineers in other locations around the world. Though travel is not required for this position, the intern will be engaging in project scoping and design/development reviews and other meetings with others assigned to the project.

The idea is that the intern works on a project that is tailored to the specific skills and interests of the candidate.
