About The Opportunity

Ellucian is seeking a Motivated and Quick Learner Software Engineer (Associate) that is a hands-on individual, exited to contribute building new cloud-based higher education solutions and maintaining our current ERPs solutions for California Region.

Where you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate with the team (Business Analyst, Architects, Developers, Designers, Test Engineers, QA analysts, Software Manager and Product Manager) and clients to resolve critical impediments and problems.
  • Engage in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts, technologies, and functionality.
  • Plan and conduct automated, unit, and module testing
  • Follow and enforce scrum practices as well as Company’s coding standards for the different technologies’ stacks.
  • Determine and implement optimum design, workflow, and functionality of software products.
  • Deliver all assigned tasks with a high degree of quality on time consistently

What you will bring

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Java/Core, Java/J2EE, SQL
  • Good to have Node.js and JavaScript
  • Experience in creating Docker images and Docker Containers.
  • Knowledge on Jenkins and cloud-based software.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices such as Scrum, and Kanban
  • Experienced with common data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programing.
  • Excellent Verbal and written communications skills in English.
