This is an opportunity to work alongside a growing team of medical professionals and designers to build a product that transforms lives and reshapes how everyday Americans treat and overcome substance use disorders. As the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Software Engineer at Workit Health, you will be responsible for architecting the payment infrastructure of Workit Health’s EMR. You will work closely with the engineering and billing teams to vision and implement a seamless payment process that ultimately increases access to care for our members.
Core Responsibilities
- Create a reimbursement rate database that talks to our EMR and automatically codes our claims. Database will pull from a subscription service and refresh automatically.
- Develop full cycle claims tracking system with payment set-up in product to create AR aging and communication with payor platforms
- Lead in coding structures and payment methodologies
- Guide stakeholders to understand solutions well enough to identify issues preventing the solution from being viable with patients, clinical/operational staff, or other stakeholders whose domains are impacted by the solution.
- Share techniques and best practices for database development at scale and advocate improvements with the team.
- Build a database with a proactive operations mindset to simplify alerting and debugging of customer
- As a backend engineer, you will design and build platforms, tooling, and system solutions that are configurable and scalable across national payer systems
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale production services, data pipelines, and streaming systems
- Experience in creating/updating system documentation, including configuration
- Ability to prioritize to ensure work is done in a timely and high-quality manner
- Work collaboratively with billing and finance teams to architect and implement efficient payment flows. Work with engineering leadership and the other members of your teams to build custom integration architecture from the ground up, with an eye toward stability, performance, and automation.
- Experience working with a national RCM management tool, such as Redox or Rhapsody
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails and Looker experience
- 2+ years of experience with IT coding to generate claims in a healthcare system
- Experience with Looker or other BI tools BA/BS or equivalent experience working in a similar position
- Have delivered, extended, and maintained large-scale distributed systems
- Proven professional experience as Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Software Engineer
- Experience with IT coding to generate claims in a healthcare system
- Experience in creating/updating system documentation, including configuration
- Ability to set up payments in product (for cash collections)
- Experience with supporting software products within the healthcare market
