MTI Film is a prominent Hollywood Post Production Facility looking to hire a full time, overnight Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in varied computing environments pertaining to television, restoration, and post production, including Avid remote editorial.
Responsibilities:
- Phone support for overnight Avid customers
- Help desk for dailies and nighttime production operations
- Routine hardware and software updates
- Facility upkeep and maintenance tasks
Skills:
- A working knowledge of computing operating systems and networking
- Strong understanding of data I/O processes and applications
- Capability to troubleshoot software applications and computer hardware
- Excellent communication skills, to interface with end users and operation managers
- Familiarity with computing, networking, storage, and video I/O hardware and software applications
- Specific familiarity with applications such as Flame, Nucoda, Avid, Resolve, Cortex, Nova, Adobe Suite, is desirable
- Scripting / Programming skill is a plus
- Ability to multitask, as well as evaluate and prioritize requests
- Capability to learn new concepts and systems
Experience:
- 3+ years working in a post production facility
- SDI video routing and troubleshooting experience is desirable
- DolbyVision/ HDR 10 knowledge a plus
- Experience with Stornext SAN and Brocade Fibre Channel hardware is a plus
